Hardware in Detail

Your hardware handles continuous operation, low power use, and minimal maintenance. Robust, it stands up to demanding outdoor deployments where mechanical stability and reliable electronics matter. Custom embedded electronics guarantee 24/7 operation even in extreme weather.

We've tested functionality from minus 20 °C to plus 70 °C in climate chambers and real-world use. Energy optimisation was key from the development stage, so battery-powered units run long stretches without service calls, even through winter with weak sunlight.

Production happens in-house under controlled conditions using modern manufacturing techniques. Every device undergoes thorough tests for function and reliability.

Software from One Source

We develop ALFA 3 software exclusively in the Czech Republic, right alongside the electronics. That ensures perfect compatibility. Multiple layers from embedded firmware in the controls through user applications to cloud services communicate seamlessly and give you maximum integration flexibility.

The system supports diverse scenarios: full functionality with ALFA 3 Cloud for order processing, locker management and monitoring, operation with your backend, or even your own application running directly on our device. It stays fully standalone or slots effortlessly into existing systems.

Data Communication for Any Location

Prime models use LAN, LTE or LTEM for flexible connections, wired or wireless. Flex and Lite series are optimised specifically for LTEM, delivering stable connectivity with very low power draw. Perfect for battery or solar-powered installations in remote spots.

Clear Architecture and Easy Integration

The solution architecture is built on layered hardware, control logic, application layer, and cloud services. Communication between components is handled via standardized protocols such as REST API, enabling control of individual lockers, device groups, or entire locker network.

The ALFA 3 platform supports integration at multiple levels — from full integration of external systems into the ALFA 3 cloud platform, through a combination of ALFA 3 software on lockers with the customer’s backend, to deployment of the customer’s own software directly on the device.

The low-energy LITE variant includes its own scripting language, enabling modification of locker behavior without the need to develop a standalone application. Thanks to this architecture, all product lines (PRIME, LITE, FLEX) can be managed simultaneously within a single platform.

ALFA 3 Sentinel: Your Central Dashboard

The Sentinel web interface acts as your central control centre for managing and monitoring all dispensing lockers, model independent. It provides an overview of device status, occupancy, events and technical data. Particularly handy: remote connection shows exactly what's on the locker display, so you solve issues from afar. Even LITE offers this, a clear market edge.

Sentinel is your daily work tool for operators, helpdesk and technical support.

Monitoring with Zabbix

An integral part of the ALFA 3 platform is the Zabbix monitoring system. Zabbix delivers continuous monitoring of devices and fleets: availability, operating parameters, power supply, communication, and key events. Early warnings spot problems ahead of time, cut downtime and streamline service calls. Automated reports make running large networks much easier.

Security Front and Centre

From the lockers in the field right through to the cloud, ALFA 3 runs securely. All communication is encrypted and reliably protects your data. The platform meets the RED DA Directive (EN 18031).

Access controls, encrypted channels, and integrity checks during updates make the system resilient against risks and ensure stable operation.
